'Warm, spicy and with charm'

(2 cups)

  • 6 pears
  • 4 carrots
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • A small piece ginger
  • A pinch cardamom powder or ½ tsp cardamon seeds
  • A pinch clove powder
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Fresh rosemary

During winter time i normally prefer warm food, specially living in the north of Europe. I love juices and actually some of them works nicely as a hot drink. You can make this one by using apples instead of pears and  even combining apples and blueberries and adding some spices.

Peel and juice the pears. Place the pear juice and the spices into a saucepan on medium heat. Bring to boil, reduce the heat to low and simmer for about 5 minutes. Cover it, and set aside for 5 more minutes. Strain with a thin sieve. Peel the carrots and ginger and  juice them. Pour the warm pear juice into glasses and combine with the carrot-ginger juice, mix with a spoon.  Sprinkle some cinnamon powder on the top.
